| Left to Right, brothers, Jeff Clements and Mike Clements, Engine and Carburetion Specialists. |

| Mike competed in 4 National Championships in the Open Class 1985-1988 and won each one of them. Mike came from a 12 year background in the Engineering Department at General Motors Proving Grounds, in Arizona, and Kim came from an 8 year NHRA Funny Car background. They are the prime innovators of all things 'Billet' for Briggs & Stratton Racing engines not only in Competitive Kart Racing but in NHRA's Jr Drag Racing League as well. An engine with all the aftermarket billet components designed by Mike Clements sits in the Briggs & Stratton lobby in Milwaukee since it was first requested by them in 1994. In the Summer of 1992 Mike set a World Land Speed record for 4 cycle karts on the Salt Flats of Bonneville, Utah. His kart ran 144.832 mph with the help of the Tecumseh Star power and the Emmick chassis. He then went on to earn 3 U.S. Patents on Internal Combustion Engine design that have proven to help reduce harmful exhaust emmissions from gas and diesel engines They sold Clements Racing Products in 2002 but eventually the new owner decided to take his own route in another direction. In 2004 they entered back into the karting arena with Heartbeat Racing Products which consisted of producing the Time Machine kart racing chassis and the Cheyenne kart racing chassis, that business was sold in 2007 and is still doing business out of Arizona. Mike and Kim decided to get back into the part of racing that was closest to their heart , building high horsepower 4 cycle engines and starting a new line of billet high performance products, hence, Clements Enterprises, LLC. In the summer of 2008 Mike and Kim moved to North Carolina, the home of motorsports, to continue their adventures and get to personally know the heart of their customer base. Mike is currently working in his spare time on a magnetic engine powered soley by the natural forces of magnetism. He hopes to someday bring to market a Free Energy engine which will help to clean the air for everyone for generations to come. He says, "It's all fun. Everything we do here is still fun to me". Also an associate and partner of Clements Enterprises is Jeff Clements, Mike's brother. After graduating from Northern Arizona University, Jeff spent 6 years in the Pontiac Motorsports division of General Motors. Jeff later moved with his family to Wisconsin to take a position with Tecumseh Engine Company. During his 18 years with Tecumseh he founded and headed up the Tecumseh Motorsports projects that included the Star Engine, the Controlled Stock Engine and the 5.5 OHV Race Engine. As the Fuel Systems Manager at Tecumseh, Jeff developed a carburetor design that was awarded a US Patent and placed into production of approximately two million carburetors. |
